21 April - Changes to the government measures

At the press conference on Tuesday evening 21 April, the government announced some changes to the current measures. In short, these changes differ from the current measures as follows:

  • Day-care services and primary schools will open again as from 11 May (partially and with some adjustments).
  • The guidelines for sports activities for children under 18 will be relaxed.
  • No large events may take place before 1 September.

All the current measures will remain in force until 20 May.

The importance of the current measures

Facilicom Group continues to follow the RIVM’s advice and apply the measures imposed by the government. The basic advice remains unchanged:

  • Stay at home as much as possible, and work from home as much as possible.
  • Maintain a good level of hygiene.
  • If you do go outside, keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres - that applies to the workplace too!

Most importantly, we urge everyone to keep up the good work and follow the measures!
More and more people will gradually start travelling as the measures are partially relaxed and the need to return to our normal lives increases. We have already noticed that offices and streets are growing busier. However, the advice is still: stay at home as much as possible, and work from home as much as possible; this applies to the school holidays in May too. It is, and remains, crucial to keep to the 1.5-metre rule.

1.5 metres at Facilicom Group

The implementation of the “1.5-metre society” will demand much of us, not just with respect to the guidelines at the work locations but more specifically our behaviour. Society will need to be extremely flexible. At the moment, we are preparing for the adjustments to the infrastructure at Facilicom Group’s offices. In addition, with our clients, we are discussing measures that are to be introduced so that we can create the 1.5-metre society.

We shall continue to follow the developments as they happen and always base our response on the government’s policy. We shall assess the impact of the government’s measures on an ongoing basis and implement measures accordingly. We shall do everything we can to provide our services at their usual high standards. If the coronavirus impacts our services, your contact will notify you in due time.
