The third edition of the Week of Happiness at Work took place during the week of 21 - 27 September. With a wide range of initiatives and actions Facilicom Group paid special attention to this week, which also had an international following in more than 40 countries.
“Happy people make happy people. This has been the underlying principle for years in everything we do at Facilicom Group. We are aware that happiness at work is different for everyone. Even more so in the present times. However, we are convinced that happiness at work starts with the feeling that the work is useful and contributes to the happiness of everyone working for us,” says Geert van de Laar, CEO Facilicom Group.
Activities during the Week of Happiness at Work
This is why Facilicom paid extra attention to its employees’ happiness at work during the Week of Happiness at Work. With a newsletter, videos, actions with and for colleagues, and updates on happiness at work – no stone was left unturned to give the subject an extra boost. “Naturally, the programme during this week was quite different from last year; for example because most actions took place online. Due to the spirit of the times, we also put the theme in a somewhat different perspective, with the emphasis on strength, energy, well-being and a sense of purpose. However, the commitment to happiness at work will remain an item of undiminished importance on our agenda,” Geert concludes.
Happiness at work must be shared
Under the header, ‘happiness at work must be shared’, Facilicom Group set up a comprehensive knowledge bank on its website www.facilicom.nl last year. Furthermore, a white paper on happiness at work can be downloaded free of charge, and employees from various Facilicom business units tell us about their happiness at work.
